Forsythbirds Listserv
Birds and Birding in Forsyth County, NC
Forsythbirds is a mailing list that serves as a forum to discuss
wild birds, birders, and birding in Forsyth County, North Carolina,
including rare bird sitings, bird identification, bird behavior,
backyard birding, trip reports, bird counts, and Audubon Society
of Forsyth County and other bird club information.
Here's
how it works: As a participant in the listserv, you will receive
e-mails that have been posted by other members of the listserv.
When anyone sends (or posts) a message to forsythbirds@forsythaudubon.org,
the message goes out to all of the people who have subscribed
to the listserv. You must be a member of forsythbirds listserv
to post messages.
To
sign up, read the Rules of Participation and follow the instructions
under "To SUBCRIBE". It's that easy. If you no longer
wish to participate, that's easy, too. Just follow the instructions
under "To UNSUBSCRIBE". And if all else fails, just
e-mail webmaster@forsythaudubon.org
for assistance.
Rules
for Participation
- Post messages
in plain text only. This will help ensure compatibility for
all of our list members. Before sending a message, please
make 2 changes:
- turn OFF html
and rich text formatting
- turn ON word-wrap

Do not send any e-mail
attachments. This will help in preventing computer viral spread.
- Only post messages
relevent to birds and birding.
- Limit your message
to one subject and include a descriptive subject line. Send
multiple messages if you have multiple subjects!
- Put your name
and location in each message you send to the list. It's a
good idea to include your e-mail address, too.
To
UNSUBSCRIBE:
Send message text "unsubscribe
forsythbirds" (without the quotes) to imailsrv@forsythaudubon.org.
To
SUBSCRIBE:
Send message text "subscribe
forsythbirds your name" (without the quotes and replace
the words "your name" with your name) to imailsrv@forsythaudubon.org.
To
POST a message:
Address your message
to forsythbirds@forsythaudubon.org
Please remember to abide by the list rules outlined above. If
you are having trouble getting on or off the list or have other
questions, please send an e-mail to: forsythbirds-owner@forsythaudubon.org
explaining the problem.
