This invaluable bird checklist was prepared for the Audubon Society of Forsyth County, Inc. by Ramona R. Snavely, latest revision 2000.

Birding Spots
Much of the material for this section of the site has been taken from the newly released pamphlet "A Birding Guide for Winston-Salem and Vicinity" compiled in 2001 by Sebastian C. Sommer, "Watching Birds in Winston-Salem" compiled in 1994 by Lloyd Ramsey, and the predecessor website section also called "Watching Birds in Winston-Salem". Much of the work has been based on reports and assistance from Ramona Snavely, with advice and help from David Disher, Doug DeNeve, Bill Hammond, Toby Gordon, and others without whom it could not have been done.
