Bethabara Work Day
Remove invasive Sacred Lotus plants from Bethabara wetland.
7:45-11:30 a.m.. Meet at day care center parking lot at intersection of Reynolda & Bethabara Park Roads. Volunteers needed to work in kayaks to clip lotus below the water surface, in a canoe to transport clippings to shore, and on shore to handle bags of clippings or to transport watercraft. Bring clippers, work gloves, sunscreen, water, life vests(if you have them). Check our Conservation page for more about this project..

A Gulf Wildlife Benefit Concert in memory of Peter Brunette, WFU professor and noted film critic. 7 p.m. World premier by composer Kenneth Frazelle. No advance sale; suggested donation is $25 at the door.
